Special Opportunities For Those Interested In Nursing

Nurses are vital to our Army because they provide the support necessary to ensure that American fighting men and women receive the best possible health care. The Army recognizes the importance of nurses, and students who wish to obtain a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or a master's degree in the same may enroll in the ROTC program and receive special benefits, which include:

-Guaranteed early admission into the Cal State Northridge nursing program for those students who receive an ROTC nursing scholarship. The Army ROTC program at CSUN is one of the few programs in the nation with such an offer.

-Up to $20,000 annual tuition assistance drawn from a separate nurse fund, which means nursing cadets are more likely to receive a scholarship.

-$600 per semester for books ($1200 annually).

-Monthly stipend of $300 for first year students, $350 for second year students, $450 for third year students, and $500 for fourth year students.

-Cash bonuses of several thousand dollars and up for certain specialty fields or duty assignments.
